New in: Raspberry trousers

Maybe I wanted to hold on to summer a bit longer or I wanted to scare away the gray weather... Anyway the raspberry coloured trousers on Asos totally convinced me. Beautiful colour and nice cut.

Let me tell you: it worked!!! The sun has been shining the whole week.

Vielleicht wollte ich den Sommer noch ein wenig länger festhalten oder das graue Wetter vertreiben... Auf jeden Fall hat mich diese himbeerfarbene Hose von Asos überzeugt. Wunderschöne Farbe und toller Schnitt.

Lasst euch gesagt sein, es hat geklappt. Die Sonne hat die ganze Woche über herrlich geschienen.

This beautiful blazer made my business-outfit complete today. I specially like the accentuated shoulders and the slim cut, which provides such a feminine figure.

Dieser wunderschöne Blazer hat mein heutiges Business-Outfit abgerundet. Besonders gefallen mir die betonten Schultern und die schmale Taille, die eine sehr feminine Silouette zaubert.

London Fashion Week: SS2012

A beautiful show at London Fashion Week SS2012 so far has definitely been Jaeger. I love the sleek look with its beautiful feminine details. Especially the hat is amazing!!! I would be delighted to see this accessory on the street next summer. The collection itself is very wearable and I can picture the pieces in a business office scenery as well as in elegant cocktail receptions or more casual private events.

Eine wunderbare Show auf der London Fashion Week SS2012 bisher war definitiv Jaeger. Ich liebe diesen klaren Look mit den wunderschönen femininen Details. Insbesondere der Hut ist gigantisch!!! Ich wäre hoch erfreut dieses Accessoire im kommenden Sommer auf den Straßen zu sehen. Die Kollektion an sich ist sehr tragbar und ich kann mir die Stücke sowohl in einem Büro Szenario als auch auf eleganten Cocktail Empfängen oder aber legeren Privatveranstaltungen vorstellen.

Trend: Denim shirt

I must admit I am not that much into Denim shirts, denim dresses, denim bags, denim bikinis... Everything made of denim fabric that is not a trouser seems to be suspicious to me. But as soon as I saw this shirt, I fell in love!!! With its different coloured patches this shirt looks individual, special and fun. And just then I realised that Phoebe Philo has an amazingly similar shirt in the Céline AW2011 collection. Asos's version is probably just a bit more affordable.

Ich muss zugeben, dass mich Jeans Hemden, Jeans Kleider, Jeans Taschen, Jeans Bikinis... eigentlich so gar nicht überzeugen können. Alles aus Jeans Stoff, was nicht einer Hose gleicht, ist mir ein wenig unheimlich. Als ich jedoch diese Bluse sah, habe ich mich verliebt!!! Mit den verschieden farbigen Aufnähern sieht sie individuell, besonders und fröhlich aus. Und dann fiel es mir wie Schuppen von den Augen: Phoebe Philo hat eine unwahrscheinlich ähnliche Bluse in Célines HW2011 Kollektion. Nur ist die Version von Asos höchst wahrscheinlich um einiges erschwinglicher.

Accessories: Feeling a bit Coco Chanel

Oh, it's getting cold in London and all those warm wool and cashmere jumpers need to be pulled out of the last corner of the closet. As I was putting my classic black one on this morning, it made me sadly realize that summer is definitely coming to an end. So the least I could do to cheer me up was to try to give my outfit a special twist.

Oh, es wird kalt in London und all diese warmen Woll- und Kaschmirpullis müssen aus den tiefsten Ecken des Kleiderschrankes ans Tageslicht befördert werden. Als ich heute morgen meine klassisch schwarze Variante anzog, wurde mir schlagartig bewusst, dass sich der Sommer nun tatsächlich einem Ende nähert. Somit war das Einzige, was ich tun konnte, um mich aufzuheitern, meinem Outfit einen besonderen Touch zu geben.

What was Vogue Fashion's Night Out London September 2011 all about?
It was about fashion, shopping, party, crazy people queuing infront of shops, brands, more fashion, more stylish people, more fashion and last but not least meeting friends for drinks, little canapés or party music played by hip DJ's. It was amazing to see what some shops organized to attract people: there was everything from a drum concert infront of the ACNE shop, to champagne and canapés at DVF, party with rocking DJs at Stella McCartney, prize drawls at net-à-porter, a taxi specially decorated for Dior, limited edition T-shirts at Matthew Williamson....

What was Vogue Fashion's Night Out London September 2011 all about in my eyes?
It was about shopping, brands, PR, spending money, fashion and gazing at incredible stylish as well as incredible funny looking and absolutly normal people going crazy over fashion. 

What was the highlight at Vogue Fashion's Night Out London September 2011? 
I loved Matthew Williamson's amazing, colourful and elaborated collection in his jungle inspired store!!! And the perfect ending of a long fashion run was a relaxing glas of wine in the bar of the beautiful & stylish London The Connaught.

I am madly in love with Elie Saab's Haute Couture FW 2011-2012 collection!!! Every single dress is a fairy tale in itself!!! Tulle, embroidered with sequins and velvet spots, cool & elegant colours, sparkling & romantic appearance. It seems like fary tales from Beirut have been entangled in these fabrics.

Unfortunately Haute Couture is not quite affordable for everyone and the lovely Elie Saab gowns might just have to serve as an inspiration for the moment. In the meantime I suggesst taking a look at Buypromdresses.co.uk and find that special evening dress that reminds us of Saab's fairy tales.

Ich bin unsterblich in Elie Saabs Haute Couture HW 2011-2012 Kollektion verliebt!!! Jedes einzelne Kleid ist ein Märchen für sich!!! Tüll, bestickt mit Pailletten und Samt Punkten, kühle & elegante Farben, glitzernder & romantischer Auftritt. Es scheint als ob Märchen aus Beirut in den Stoff verwebt wurden.

Im Rahmen von Lifestyle und Design habe ich mich kürzlich sehr von La Tête Au Cube, einer Firma, die sich auf die Entwicklung neuer dynamischer Produkte fokussiert, inspirieren lassen. Diese Produkte soll der Konsument verstehen, sich auf sie beziehen können und sie sollen eine Geschichte erzählen. Hier sind meine Favouriten:

Last week I stumbled over an amazing accessory designer: Alina Schürfeld!!! Alina has just won the BUNTE new faces award Fashion 2011 in the category "Best Accessory Label". She designs cases, bags and shoes for "gentlemen" and "gentlewomen". Her work is very sophisticated, intelligent, elegant and special. Every single piece looks so classy but yet surprising. Diamonds!!! 

Created in Hamburg and manufactured in Italy only fine materials of eco-friendly quality are used for these very individual products.

I LOVE Ballerinas!!! But for some occasions or outfits they just seem a bit too casual. The shoe designer and manufacturer Attilio Giusti Leombruni (www.attiliogiustileombruni.com) found the solution: Ballerinas with heels!!! They are still as comfortable and look as sweet as every normal Ballerina shoe, but they have the twist.

Beauty: Colours

Summer is back in London!!! On a beautiful sunny day like this, I can't think of any better way to spice up an outfit than by adding a bright fun coloured nail polish! These are my favourites this summer: Yellow to add a hint of colour to elegant outfits in black, white and muted colours. Blue for any sporty dress. And pink for everything else.

I hope you didn't miss this very inspiring exhibition in Berlin. Premsela, the Dutch platform for design and fashion, presents a multidisciplinary project on Dutch fashion culture. This interesting collaboration of fashion, art, architecture and product design expands the perception of fashion and puts it into a creative context. If you did miss it, don't worry!

Hoffentlich habt ihr diese sehr inspirierende Ausstellung in Berlin nicht verpasst. Premsela, die niederländische Platform für Design und Mode, präsentiert ein multidisziplinäres Projekt über die niederländische Modekultur. Diese interessante Zusammenarbeit zwischen Mode, Kunst, Architektur und Produkt Design erweitert die Wahrnehmung von Mode und setzt diese in einen kreativen Zusammenhang.
